Change of Name

A company can change its name only in the following situations:

• Major change in Company’s business and name change is to represent new business.

• Change in promoters.

• Change in branding.

The change of name of a company has no impact on the legal entity or its existence. Hence, all assets and liabilities of the entity would continue, while only the name of the company would have been changed. Company name rules will be applicable to change in Company’s name change also.
